Metal door frames type 2D
Frames of the type 2D consists of a front that is screwed onto the wall with brackets, and a frame that is screwed on the front.
Description
They are 20 mm adjustable to the wall thickness and are always placed on a finished floor and wall.
These are also available for fire-resistant doors type BW 30 according to the Benor-2770 standard.
Material
All door frames are profiled from electrolytically galvanized plate (ZE25/25) or thermally galvanized steel plate (Z275), so all sides are protected against corrosion. Plate thickness: 1.5 mm.
Corner connections
The cuttings are available as a welded corner connection or as a screwed corner connection in a miter angle, without welding.
Surface treatment
A light gray primer (RAL 7035) is applied electrostatically. The customer takes care of the final lacquer after installing the frames on site. The primer can be painted over with conventional paint or two component paint.
2D-type frames can also be finished with powder coating. The 3-part frames are coated in an automatic installation with a powder coating layer that is heated at approximately 180°. A well-kept and constant quality is the result. This final layer does not need treatment on-site.
Packaging
Frames 2D are delivered WITHOUT PACKAGING.
Often 2D frames are chosen because they can be adjusted a few cm to the thickness of the wall, eg from 150 to 170 mm, making them particularly interesting for renovations with skewed and uneven walls. However, the front (door side) of the frame must always be installed, regardless of whether the wall is thicker at the top than at the bottom. Inaccurate brickwork or plaster can therefore not just be camouflaged by adjusting the 2D frame.
