Metal frames - type 3D
Interior door frames type 3D are supplied in 3 separate parts: 1 horizontal frame and 2 vertical frames that are placed in an existing wall opening.
Description
Close corner connections due to stretching under 45 °, so no visibly permanent openings or fillers. Side frames and top frame are of equal width. Solid construction due to a minimum of parts: the side frames are profiled from 1 piece and therefore unexpected and without seams. Available in many different options, for different types of doors and different types of finishes.
Material
Electrolytically galvanized steel plate, guaranteeing that all sides are protected against corrosion. Sheet metal thickness is 1.5 mm.

- Easy installation: no training necessary.
- Practical and economical transport: the frames are packed individually in plastic foil, and are stacked per order on a disposable wooden pallet.
Surface treatment
The 3-part frames are coated in an automatic installation with a powder coating layer that is heated at approximately 180°. A well-kept and constant quality is the result. This final layer does not need treatment on-site.
Installation
Frames of type 3D are always placed in a finished wall opening and on a finished floor. Recommended dimensions of wall opening:
- width = door width + 50 mm;
- Height = door height + 25 mm.
The cavity between wall and frame is filled with 2 – components PU – foam
(Do not use insulation foam).
Profiles
- MA1: for plasterboard walls Sheet metal thickness 1 mm, with extra pleated edge of 10 mm, door deposits with 3 PVC caps
- Ma: sheet metal thickness 1.5 mm, door deposits with 3 PVC caps, for all types of walls.
- MB: sheet metal thickness 1.5 mm, door deposits with flexible seal, for all types of walls.
Hinges
The hinges are mounted in a box that is welded behind the frame. These are adjustable horizontally and are screwed with 1 Allen screw.
- Galvanized (standard)
- Stainless steel.
- Other hinges on request.
Dimensions
- Quickly available for standard door dimensions and wall thicknesses.
- Fully bespoke is possible.
Lockplate
- Standard: 2 punched final holes with adjustable lip and protective box;
- Option: lockplate in stainless steel with folded edge.
Door type
Frames of type 3d are made for:
- Flush doors, rebated doors, sliding doors, swing doors
- Doors with a wooden top panel or side panel
Packaging
Assembly frames of type 3D are individually packaged.
To reduce waste we do not use cardboard boxes.

Other colours are available on request.
However, the frames are also available with an electrostatically applied primer (light gray – RAL 7035), whereby the customer provides the end lacquer after placing the frames. The primer can be painted over with conventional paint or two component paint.
